Description

Dead Cells, an indie sensation on PC and consoles, has reanimated on mobile. Reawaken as a failed alchemy experiment, venture into an ever-changing enchanted castle, unveil the eerie past of this forgotten island and challenge its unmerciful bosses. The game intertwines the overwhelming replayability of a rogue-lite with the addictive exploration of a metroidvania game. However, survival isn't guaranteed; defeat and permadeath could be just around the corner, unless your skills can carry you past these relentless horrors.

Experience a high-octane and stunning 2D action amidst a maze of interconnected worlds, teeming with ruthless minions, gloomy environments and dynamic nonlinear progression. Your objective varies - it could be rushing through a rotten shipwreck or a burning lighthouse in your quest for glory, or meticulously scouring every nook of the haunted castle. Whatever be the challenge, Dead Cells will test your mettle as a true dark-fantasy aficionado, while not feeding you any ads or in-game purchase prompts.

How To Play

  • Let's arm you with some gameplay cues before you embark on your quest. Dead Cells is about learning from your defeats. Each death grants you insights and new levels to unlock, so you choose your path according to your build, play style or mood.
  • The 2D action is paced with lightning speed, so master the monsters’ patterns quickly or head back to your cell faster than you could say “baguette”. The ramparts may not seem as horrid as the sewers, but remember, looks can be deceiving.
  • You're armed with a staggering variety of weapons and abilities against hostile minions and bosses. Perfect your combat mechanics with new tools like the Scythe Claw, or classic Castlevania-esque Vampire Killer and Holy Water, as you fend off beasts of the night.
  • The game has two modes - Original and Auto-Hit. With the latter, the combat process automatically aligns itself while you navigate and devise your strategies. Yet, the game still provides you a host of touch controls to customise according your habits and preferences.
  • For moments when touch controls may seem tricky, the game also offers MFi external controller support. With no ads or F2P mechanics, all you need to focus on is survival and the thrill of the fray. Don't forget, Dead Cells is all about one mantra - Kill. Die. Learn. Repeat.
